Come and join us for Kilmarnock's Christmas Lights Switch On. This year become a participant and not just a spectator at our “Winter Warm Up” when we open the Main stage at 2pm or with our mass Choir-aoke when Centrestage Gospel and Soul Choir will get us all singing along!

Loudon Musical Society are also going to give us their version of the popular TV series “Pitch Battle” so a wee bit of Saturday night TV for us! Ryan Lawrie from last year’s X factor will be performing on the main stage as will the massively popular local band Angelstar – back by popular demand!

Colin McCardle will be our host on the main stage.

Explore our free illumination Trail along the River Irvine with vessels, buildings and Harbourside sparkling with lights.

Marvel at breathtaking aerial acrobatics and an extraordinary light show in and around the vast Linthouse at the Scottish Maritime Museum.

Join in the Lantern Parade and illumi Bike Ride, enjoy the food and craft fair, skiff racing, whisky tastings and more! illumination in Irvine, North Ayrshire, is the perfect evening adventure to begin your festive season.

REINDEER DASH

REINDEER DASH

The Reindeer Dash, with the help and support of Kilmarnock Football Club, The Kilmarnock Standard and East Ayrshire Council is back for a second year!

We’d like you to join us and take part in a leisurely 3k Fun Run/Walk around the Howard Park in Kilmarnock on Sunday 10th December. Registration opens at 11.00am on the day and the race will start at 12 noon. We’ll supply you with your very own pair of reindeer antlers and flashing red nose to keep, use these to customise your costume; there will be prizes for the best adult and child outfits.

You will start your run/walk around the route laid out in the Howard Park by the Kilmarnock Harriers and finish at the Kilmarnock Cross in time to meet Santa and the real Reindeers at the finish line for 1.30pm. Entry fee is £10 per adult, £6 per child (aged 4-16yrs; under 4’s free) £28 for a Family Ticket, all we ask is that you raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship.

SANTA & HIS REINDEER

The Cross, Kilmarnock Town centre

SANTA & HIS REINDEER

Santa and his team of beautiful Reindeer are visiting Kilmarnock on Sunday 10th December from 12.30 - 15.30. Arriving at The Cross on his sleigh Santa will be welcomed to Kilmarnock by a choir from Centrestage and Provost Todd who will introduce two lucky children who will ride with Santa in his sleigh as it travels along King Street.

Centrestage choir are going to be adding to the Christmas Magic with their medley of Christmas songs.A special Reindeer pen will be set up at The Cross for the Reindeer to rest prior to flying off to their next destination. Santa will then take some time in the Burns Mall to meet local children and collect their Christmas letters.

There are also travelling events such as the funfair and the circus.
